The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, is a time to celebrate with family, friends, and colleagues. As an important Chinese holiday, it is a time when people gather together to eat mooncakes, enjoy the beautiful full moon, and spend time with loved ones. This year, our company decided to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with a company dinner at the famous Xiamen Yazu Fish Square. Located in Xiamen, Yazu Fish Square is known for its fresh and delicious seafood. As we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted by a warm and friendly staff who showed us to a private dining room. The room was beautifully decorated with traditional Chinese lanterns, creating a festive and cozy atmosphere. The dinner began with a delicious seafood , filled with crab, shrimp, and lobster. The seafood was so fresh that we could taste the ocean in every bite. We then enjoyed a variety of dishes, including spicy fried squid, garlic shrimp, and stir-fried clams. The flavors were incredible and the presentation was beautiful. As the night went on, we laughed, shared stories, and enjoyed each other's company. These traditional Chinese sweets are made with red bean or lotus paste and are often filled with a salted egg yolk. They are a symbol of the festival and are often given as gifts to family and friends. As the night came to a close, we reflected on the importance of coming together to celebrate holidays like the Mid-Autumn Festival. It is a time to remember our traditions and roots, and to appreciate the beauty of our culture. We left the restaurant feeling grateful for the time spent with our colleagues and the delicious seafood we had enjoyed. This Mid-Autumn Festival had been truly memorable, thanks to the wonderful experience at Xiamen Yazu Fish Square.
